Numerous users have reported encountering a perplexing “Sorry, you have been blocked” notification upon attempting to access the app.
The issue appears to affect Discord across all platforms, including desktop, web, and mobile, rendering users unable to access Discord.com as indicated by the error message.
Acknowledging the problem, Discord has issued a statement: “We are aware of an issue preventing users from accessing the app. Our team is actively investigating the matter.”
Additionally, the well-known service for monitoring downtime, Downdetector, has recorded a substantial surge in user reports citing difficulties accessing Discord from various locations worldwide.
On Reddit, users are expressing concern and apprehension regarding potential account blocks, with the r/discordapp subreddit inundated with posts featuring the “blocked” message.
Benzinga has independently verified the outage, with its members encountering the same “blocked” notification on their devices.
As of the latest update at 9 a.m. ET, Discord continues to investigate the issue. The company has shared the following insight on its status page: “We’re experiencing unusual traffic spikes that lead to users being temporarily blocked, and we’re actively working to resolve this issue.”
